AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami denied holding alliance talks with actor-politician Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), stating that no such discussions have taken place and the media is spreading speculation.

"We are forming the government in Tamil Nadu, and we have decided to work together to defeat the DMK. PM Modi has given us a clear direction. Double-engine government in Delhi and the NDA government in Tamil Nadu. Together, we will transform Tamil Nadu and will make it a very good state. The move comes in the backdrop of reports indicating public apprehension about a possible restriction in the supply of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in the domestic market due to ongoing developments in West Asia.
