Celebs are soft targets: Mukesh Bhatt on death threat to his brother
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Mar.2 (ANI): Indian film producer Mukesh Bhatt has revealed details of the death threat to his elder brother Mahesh Bhatt. He revealed that the caller, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, was threatening Mahesh Bhatt since last week. Mukesh said, "He was receiving this threat from last one week. The man threatened to kill Mahesh or his family members if he fails to give money. We immediately contacted the Bombay Police and they acted promptly in contacting UP Police. The UP Police also acted quickly and arrested the accused." The producer further said the Mumbai Police will investigate whether he was doing it alone or was acting at someone's behalf. "Our security has been stepped up. We were already having security and now it has been doubled," he added. He further said the Bollywood celebrities become soft targets for the criminals. A man gave death threat to the film-maker on February 26 and claimed that if his demand of Rs. 50 lakh was not met then it would result in the death of Bhatt. Mahesh Bhatt filed a complaint on Thursday in Juhu Police Station. The accused has been apprehended by the Special Task Force of UP Police from Lucknow. (ANI)
