"Celebrating like a student...but they got 99 out of 543": ML Khattar hits out at Congress

Khattar, while addressing a meeting, said, "They (Opposition) are being happy like a student who gets 99 marks... But they got 99 out of 543... But I agree that they should celebrate one thing and that is Congress won just 44 seats in 2014 and 52 in 2019. The Opposition should get at least 54... This time they have at least become a recognised Opposition."

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], July 15 (ANI): Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar hit out at Congress on Monday for celebrating their victory on 99 Lok Sabha seats and said they are celebrating like students.
This statement came while he was attending Uttarakhand's BJP State Working Committee Meeting in Dehradun today.
Earlier on Saturday, Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar stepped up his attacks on Congress and said that instead of asking the Haryana government to give an account of the work done in the past 10 years, the Congress should tell what it did in its 10-year rule in the state.
On being asked about Congress raising a slogan of 'Haryana maange hisab', and the party seeking a response from the state government over the work done by them, Khattar said, "We will demand accountability for their (Congress) 10 years, what they did in those 10 years and what wrong they did to the country."
He added, "The state was drowned in despair and depression at that time and then the public rejected them."
The remarks by the Haryana Chief Minister came after he visited Delhi and participated in the Haryana CM's Good Governance Associates Programme. (ANI)
