"CBI is going to conduct raid on residence of Manish Sisodia," alleges AAP's Priyanka Kakkar

"We are a very honest party...They (BJP) always arrest our leaders before the elections and we have information that they are going to arrest Delhi CM Atishi. A CBI raid is going to be conducted on the premises of Manish Sisodia and other AAP leaders can also be arrested. The BJP is rattled and they can see their defeat..." Kakkar told ANI.

New Delhi [India], January 7 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar on Monday claimed that AAP has received a piece of information that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is going to conduct a raid on the residence of Manish Sisodia and there are chances that other AAP leaders can also be arrested.
These allegations came ahead of the upcoming assembly polls in Delhi which are due in February 2025.
Kakkar further alleged that the BJP is going to arrest Delhi Chief Minister Atishi.
Earlier on Monday, AAP national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal alleged that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will soon raid the residence of senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia.
"I had said a few days ago that Delhi CM Atishi ji will be arrested and some AAP leaders will be raided. According to reliable sources, there will be a CBI raid at Manish Sisodia's house in the coming days. BJP is losing the Delhi elections. These arrests and raids are the result of their frustration. So far they have not found anything against us, they will not find anything in the future either. "AAP" is a staunchly honest party," Arvind Kejriwal posted on X.
Manish Sisodia has earlier represented the Patparganj seat between 2013-2024. In the 2020 assembly polls, he won the seat by narrow margins. This time he is contesting elections from Jangpura against BJP leader Tarvinder Singh Marwah.
The claim comes days after AAP leader Kejriwal predicted the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Atishi.
Earlier, CM Atishi accused the BJP of attempting to manipulate voter data in the New Delhi Assembly by deleting and wrongly adding thousands of voters through fraudulent applications.
"BJP is snatching the right to vote from the citizens. They are doing a huge election scam in the New Delhi Assembly. BJP is attempting to manipulate voter data by deleting and adding thousands of votes incorrectly," she said.
Atishi further alleged a large-scale electoral scam in the New Delhi Assembly, citing over 10,000 applications for voter additions and 6,167 deletions between October 29, 2024, and January 2, 2025.
"More than 10,000 applications for making votes came in New Delhi Assembly between 15 December 2024 and 02 January 2025. 6,167 applications were filed in the New Delhi Assembly between 29 October 2024 and 02 January 2025 to get votes cut. It is clear that a very big electoral scam is being carried out in the New Delhi Assembly," she said.
Ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections in February 2025, the battle between the Congress, AAP, and BJP has become intense, with these parties levelling allegations against each other.
The assembly elections in Delhi are due in February, and the dates for the same are expected to be announced in a few days. (ANI)
