New Delhi [India], September 8 (ANI): Amid a lot of speculation regarding the formation of an alliance between the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress for the Haryana Assembly Polls, Congress leader Pawan Khera said on Sunday that there is nothing to comment on "guesses and comments" that are being made.
Khera further stated that these kinds of "guesses and comments" are always made during the elections.
"I cannot comment on the guesses and comments that are being made. Who is making a guess? Who is commenting? During elections, these kinds of guesses and comments are always being made. I will not comment on these," he said.
He also stressed that the people of Haryana have taken a step towards defeating the BJP in the upcoming elections and that Congress will also be moving forward with that goal.
"The people of Haryana have taken a step towards defeating BJP and with that step, we will also be moving towards that goal," he added.
The voting to the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5 and the last date for filing nominations is September 12. The counting of votes will be held on October 8.
On Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's visit to the US, he said, "He was welcomed with open arms. People were very enthusiastic to hear their elected Leader of Opposition... The zeal is the same here in India as it is there in the US. It was a treat to watch how people became emotional meeting Rahul Gandhi."
Speaking on the recent violence in Manipur Khera said, "Do you think the situation is stabilising? The Prime Minister still hasn't visited the place. Doesn't he have the love for a place in the country to go and put medicine on the wounds? But no, where there is any uprising, then he would stay at a distance from it." (ANI)
