Can Rahul sing national anthem, asks Anupam Kher
New Delhi [India], Dec. 5 (ANI): Actor Anupam Kher, known for speaking mind without mincing his words, took a sarcastic dig at Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Monday, asking whether the latter can sing the national anthem. "Not doubting his Indianness, but I wish to see Rahul Gandhi sing our national anthem, want to see if he knows the words or not," said the veteran actor. Kher, who was delivering speech at VCCI Expo in Vadodara, backed the government's demonetisation decision. On being asked about common people's plight post-demonetisation, the 61-year-old actor said the decision to ban Rs.500 and Rs. 1000 note was matter of privacy and that is why it was not disclosed to anybody beforehand. Condemning the opposition for protesting against the demonetisation drive, he said they are showing intolerance on the matter. Kher often raises his voice in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP. (ANI)
