New Delhi [India], October 8 (ANI): AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal on Tuesday scathed the Aam Aadmi Party for its dismal performance in Haryana assembly polls, saying that party's national convenor, Arvind Kejriwal came to Haryana only to "take revenge" from Congress.
Swati Maliwal in a post on X, accused the AAP of "betraying" the INDIA bloc and cutting votes of the Congress.
"He came to Haryana only to take revenge from Congress. He falsely accused me of being a BJP agent, and today he himself is betraying the India Alliance and cutting votes of INC! Leave aside everything, a candidate was fielded to defeat even Vinesh Phogat," Maliwal stated.
Attacking Kejriwal further, she asserted that the former Delhi Chief Minister couldn't even save the party's account in his home state Haryana. She further called on the party to give up is "ego" and "stop doing drama."
Maliwal further said, "Why has the situation reached such a stage that you are not able to save your deposits in your home state? There is still time, give up your ego, remove the veil from your blurry eyes, stop doing drama and work for the people."

Notably, AAP failed to win a single seat in Haryana in the assembly elections, as the counting of votes is still underway in the state.
Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini secured victory from the Ladwa assembly constituency with a margin of 16,054 votes, according to data from the Election Commission. Saini triumphed over Congress candidate Mewa Singh and independent candidate Vikramjeet Singh Cheema.
Saini expressed his gratitude, thanking the 2.80 crore people of Haryana "wholeheartedly," stating that the public had once again endorsed the BJP's work for a third time. He attributed the victory to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to the latest update from the Election Commission of India, BJP has won 47 seats and is leading on one other seat, while the Congress party has won 36 seats and is leading on one more. This is BJP's third consecutive victory in the state.
The 90 seats of Haryana went to polls in a single phase on October 5. (ANI)
