Burhan Wani killing protest: Death toll rises to 18

Pulwama (Jammu and Kashmir), July 10 (ANI): The death toll in protest-related incidents over the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani reached 18 in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.

Burhan Wani killing protest: Death toll rises to 18
Pulwama (Jammu and Kashmir), July 10 (ANI): The death toll in protest-related incidents over the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani reached 18 in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district. One policeman and two youth have reportedly been killed in the protest violence. Earlier in the day, 15 civilians were killed in the clashes, a day after Wani and his two associated were gunned down by security forces. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had chaired a high-level meeting to review the law and order situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Rajnath had said the Centre is working with the state government to bring normalcy in the valley. In a tweet, Singh appealed to the people to remain calm and maintain peace. Mobile internet and train services have been suspended in the valley and the Amarnath Yatra remains temporarily suspended and around ten thousand pilgrims are reportedly stranded at Jammu.(ANI)
