BSF organises 'Sports Mela' in Poonch rural areas
Poonch (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Dec. 23 (ANI): The Border Security Force (BSF) recently organised a sports mela (fair) in Khanater Poonch for students of rural area schools. Students of seven schools participated in the event. Officiating Commandant 50 Battalion BSF V.K. Ojha told ANI, "A competition of badminton was organised for two days, and before that also, we have organised a volleyball competition. We have received a positive response. We wanted to reach to the people of rural areas through this competition. The children are very talented." "I expect a national level winner to come out of this tournament. It is fortunate for us that we have an opportunity to serve the people of the rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir," he added. Mehrant Felkaan, a student said, "The BSF has organised a sports mela for two days. It was a great opportunity for us to show our talent. We want such events to take place in the future also." (ANI)
