BSF, BGB joint exercise starts in South Dinajpur district

New Delhi, Sept 27 (ANI): A two-day-long Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) joint exercise started at the Indo-Bangladesh border in South Dinajpur district of West-Bengal Tuesday afternoon.

BSF, BGB joint exercise starts in South Dinajpur district
New Delhi, Sept 27 (ANI): A two-day-long Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) joint exercise started at the Indo-Bangladesh border in South Dinajpur district of West-Bengal Tuesday afternoon. During the exercise, the forces will take part in International Check Post (ICP) checking, vehicle checking, special raids, flag meetings and many others activities either in India or in Bangladesh border areas. The main focus of this edition of the joint exercise is to improve the coordination between the both border forces while operating along the International Border. India shares 4,096 km border with Bangladesh, of which West Bengal shares 2,216 km. The North Bengal Frontier has a border of 932 km with Bangladesh that has numerous porous areas. (ANI)
