Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], November 25 (ANI): Coming down heavily on the Telangana Chief Minister KCR-led government on the corruption issue, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said BRS means 'Bhrashtachar Rishwatkhori Samiti'.
Addressing an election rally in Hyderabad, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, "BRS stands for 'Bhrashtachar ((corruption) Rishwatkhori (Bribery) Samiti (Committee)'.This state is yearning for its rights. The dirtiest game of appeasement politics is going on in Telangana. The government can go to any extent to divide the society."
Alleging that the BRS government has conspired to deprive Dalits, the underprivileged, Scheduled Castes, Tribes, and Backward Castes of their rights by giving reservations to Muslims, Yogi Adityanath said, "This is an insult to the Constitution made by Bhimrao Ambedkar. Muslim reservation is anti-constitutional, hence it will end with the arrival of the BJP in Telangana. BRS and Congress want to take the country towards a new division. BRS-Congress and BSP share a similar mindset."
The UP Chief Minister asserted that the Muslim reservation policy in Telangana is unconstitutional and pledged to abolish it if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) comes to power.
Accusing Chief Minister KCR of deception, he highlighted unfulfilled promises, including commitments to 'Nillu' (water), 'Nidhulu' (money), and 'Niyamakalu' (employment) after assuming office. Yogi drew a distinction, stating that while Congress made it Hyderabad, the BJP aims to transform it into 'Bhagyanagar.'
Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi targetted Congress and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao saying that both never believed in the politics of development adding that every vote given to the grand old party in the upcoming Telangana elections will strengthen the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
Addressing an election rally in Rangareddy's Maheshwaram, Prime Minister Modi said, "People of Telangana are eager to give a chance to BJP. Telangana has turmeric, talent, tradition, and technology but still, Telangana could not get its right place due to BRS's bad governance. But time is changing now. Your rising trust in the BJP will take Telangana to new heights. Congress and KCR don't believe in politics of development."
The state of Telangana is set to undergo assembly polls on November 30.
The ruling BRS, Congress and BJP are the main contestants in the state. The counting of votes will take place on December 3. (ANI)
