Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], November 25 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said that the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government is cheating the farmers, youth and women in Telangana adding that the state has gone into the debt of Rs 3 lakh crore due to the fractured economic policies of KCR led government.
"When Telangana was formed, it was a revenue-surplus state. Today Telangana is in debt of Rs 3 lakh crore. BRS is cheating farmers, youth, and women. Water has become a source of illegal money. With the wrong policies of the government, the youth are burdened with debt," Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said at an election rally in Hyderabad.
Chief Minister further alleged that AIMIM is a common friend of BRS and Congress.
"Because of them, the government does not allow Telangana to celebrate the day of liberation from the Nizam. Bring the BJP government, work will be done to celebrate Liberation Day from Nizam as national day. Congress made it Hyderabad, we have come to make 'Bhagyanagar," he said.
A week after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) put up anti-Congress posters in Hyderabad, similar posters have now surfaced at Nizamabad in poll-bound Telangana. The posters came on Saturday, coinciding with Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's scheduled visit to the district.
While some posters say that "Congress party killed our children", others demanded that "Congress should apologize". Some posters depicted news articles titled, "Karnataka's power woes, unemployment", and "Power cuts hit Ballari's jeans industries hard".
The posters had images of Rahul Gandhi and Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took aim at Chief Minister KCR and said that he and all his family members in the Bharat Rashtra Samithi are corrupt, and most money-making ministries are in the hands of KCR's family.
"The most money-making ministries are in the hands of KCR's family. Most of the money is made on land, liquor and sand, and all of them are under the control of KCR and his family members," said Rahul Gandhi.
The state of Telangana is set to undergo assembly polls on November 30. The ruling BRS, Congress and BJP are the main contestants in the state. The counting of votes will take place on December 3. (ANI)
