New Delhi [India], October 25 (ANI): Ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in Telangana, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday said that the state is ready for the change as people will elect the grand old party with full support.
Calling BJP, BRS and AIMIM as partners in crime, Mallikarjun Kharge in a post on X said," Telangana is getting ready for change. Telangana shall elect Congress! Staring at an imminent defeat, BRS leaders are showing their abject frustration by continuously attacking the Congress party. BRS, BJP, AIMIM -- all partners in crime know the writing on the wall."
Mallikarjun Kharge further stated that the Congress has received a positive response to its guarantees promised in Telangana.
"They have nothing to show to the people of Telangana except lies, loot and commission! Congress' guarantees in Telangana and the tremendous affection that we share with the people of the state shall result in justice, welfare and progress. An important meeting of the Central Election Committee for Telangana happened today," he said.
Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) working president and Minister KT Rama Rao criticised the Congress party and its leaders for their lack of commitment to Telangana adding that the grand old party has been tried, tested and dusted.

KT Rama Rao took a swipe at the Congress, highlighting its dwindling influence over the years and criticizing the party for its diminishing performance in Telangana.
"Congress has been given ample opportunities by the people of Telangana and the country but the party has failed miserably. Not only itself but India as well. Congress is a party that has been tried tested and dusted," he said."Nobody sees Mallikarjun Kharge as the president. Who is Rahul Gandhi to ask about family and dynasty in Telangana?" he asked.
The state will witness a triangular contest between the BJP, the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi, and the Congress. In the previous Assembly election held in 2018, BRS won 88 seats out of 119 seats with a vote share of 47.4 per cent. Congress came in a distant second with 19 seats.
Telangana Assembly polls are scheduled to be held on November 30. The counting of votes for all five states Rajasthan Madhya Pradesh Mizoram and Chhattisgarh will be done on December 3. (ANI)
