"The patient, Mr. Brijpal Teotia, was brought to the hospital last night in a critical condition with multiple gunshot injuries. He was operated upon by team of three different surgical departments, Department of Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, Department of Orthopedics and Department of Reconstructive Surgery. Currently, the patient is on life support and his condition continues to be critical. Our doctors are closely monitoring the patient and are doing their best," Sehgal said. Teotia and five others were shot at by unidentified assailants at Muradnagar in Ghaziabad late on Thursday evening. The assailants allegedly fired over 100 rounds of ammunition on his convoy. Police have picked up large amounts of ammunition, including an AK-47 and two 9mm pistols from the crime scene. Teotia is said to be a close confidante of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
