BRICS policy planning dialogue meeting to be held today in Patna
Patna (Bihar), July 26 (ANI): The BRICS policy planning dialogue meeting will be held today at Patna. The delegates of the BRICS countries-Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa are participating in this meeting. The dialogue meeting is being held ahead of the eighth BRICS Summit to be held in Goa on October 15-16 under the chairmanship of India. Talking to reporters in Patna, the Joint Secretary ( Planning and policy ) of Ministry of External Affairs, Santosh Jha said the discussions shall take forward the policy planning talks initiated under the chairmanship of Russia in 2015 in line with this year's theme of building responsive, inclusive and collective solutions. Jha said the dialogue will provide an opportunity for exchange on strategic assessments of internal situation and the regional situation of each country. He said the role of BRICS in International governance, ongoing cooperation at BRICS forum and identifying areas of convergence among BRICS would be the subject in the deliberations of delegates from member countries. He said the dialogue will also seek to enhance sharing of best practices in foreign policy planning and assessment between the BRICS countries. (ANI)
