Blackbuck poaching case: Jodhpur CJM court adjourns hearing till Apr. 1
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Mar. 23 (ANI): The Jodhpur Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court on Thursday adjourned the hearing in the blackbuck poaching case involving actor Salman Khan and others till April 1. Earlier this month, woman activist and lawyer Abha Singh had lashed out at Salman, saying the actor should file a counter if he is truly innocent. She said that Salman has made a joke of the judiciary repeatedly, adding that he should be tried for perjury and wasting the time of the court. Singh also stated that it was now for the judiciary to get the truth out, as the police and the defence have connived in not conducting the case in a true manner. During the shooting of Sooraj Barjatya's movie, 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' in 1999, Salman allegedly went on a shooting expedition along with actors Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Sonali Bendre and Tabu, killing two blackbucks in Kankani village. Following protests by the local Bishnoi community, a case was later filed against Salman and the other actors. (ANI)
