Black Day: BJP condemns Pak's decision, advices it to support peace, not terrorists

New Delhi, July 16 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday came down heavily at Pakistan for observing "black day" on Tuesday, July 19 to express solidarity with Kashmiris and said that it is high time that Islamabad should introspect and decide that whether it wants to support terrorists or choose peace, prosperity and development for its nation. Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that it is evident on the global platform that Pakistan supports terrorist and that it would be in favour of Islamabad that it changes its attitude or will be left aside. "Now it is for Pakistan to decide that whether it wants to supports terrorists or it wants peace, prosperity and development in the nation," said Naqvi. "Pakistan's present attitude makes its clear in front of the world that somewhere it is backing the terrorists because of which it has been left aside. It is high time that Islamabad should ponder and introspect that such activities are hampering its development," he added. According to reports, earlier yesterday, while addressing a cabinet meeting in Lahore, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif lionised Burhan Wani, who was killed in Kashmir last week, calling him a "martyr" and announced that his country will observe July 19 as 'black day' against the killing of Hizbul terrorist and his associates. "Pakistan would continue to extend moral, political and diplomatic support for Kashmiris in their just struggle for right to self-determination," the Sharif said. Meanwhile, asserting that Pakistan has no locus standi to discuss India's internal issue, External Affairs Minister spokesperson Vikas Swarup said that "India completely and unequivocally rejects in the entirety the decisions adopted by the Pakistan Cabinet on situation in Jammu and Kashmir." "Pakistan has no locus standi in our internal matters. We hope Pakistan will desist from further interfering in India's internal affairs," he added. (ANI)
