BJP's Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi slams Congress over National Herald issue, says "its legal action on mess of corruption"

When asked about the National Herald issue, Naqvi said that the "report on trickery" had not been done by the BJP or the Modi Government. It is a legal action on the "mess of corruption" committed by the Congress earlier. "Victim hood reaction on legal action" has become "mode and mood" of the "Congress family".

New Delhi [India], April 16 (ANI): Taking a dig at the Congress party, former Union Cabinet Minister and senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has said that the "Congress roams around carrying even the coffer of corruption as a coffin of sacrifice".
Speaking on the West Bengal violence, the BJP leader said that the communal attack on constitutional reform from Pakistan to "Parivaaristan" (Congress, SP, TMC, RJD, DMK etc.) is a proof that the "brigade that held every constitutional reform a hostage to communal conspiracy" has panicked.
Naqvi said that while on one hand those who had been engaged in systematic plundering are being knocked out, on the other hand the "champions of appeasement" are crying.
Naqvi said that only time will tell if the West Bengal government's "communal conference by artisans of anarchy" is an attempt to restore trust or to spread fear and fallacy. Shri Naqvi said that the way the West Bengal Government has surrendered in front of anarchist and criminal elements, it is clear that the law and order and government system has totally collapsed in the state.
Earlier today, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the families of those killed in the Murshidabad protest over the Waqf Amendment Act.
Addressing the gathering at Kolkata's Netaji Indoor Stadium, CM Mamata said that she would ask the Secretary to file a report on it.
"I will ask Chief Secretary to get a report on it. The families of those who lost their lives in the violence will get Rs 10 lakh each. We don't see the religious identity of victims but their pain. Those who lost their houses will get Banglar Bari (a house scheme funded entirely by her government). For those whose shops were damaged, the Chief Secretary will take estimates and get the work done for them," CM Mamata said.
Unrest broke out in Murshidabad during protests against the Waqf (Amendment) Act on April 11. The law has been a contentious issue in the region. The protests turned violent, resulting in the deaths of three people and injuries to several others, with widespread property damage.
The West Bengal Police said 150 people have been arrested so far in connection with the Murshidabad violence, and adequate police forces have been deployed in Samserganj, Dhuliyan, and other affected areas of Murshidabad. (ANI)
The BJP has accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) of supporting the protesters and criticised TMC MP Bapi Halder for making threatening remarks against those protesting Waqf properties. (ANI)
