New Delhi [India], February 8 (ANI): Ahead of the vote counting for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections, a BJP candidate from RK Puram, Anil Sharma, visited the Kalkaji Temple to offer prayers.
Expressing confidence in his victory, Sharma said that the win for RK Puram was "guaranteed" and expressed strong belief that the BJP would form the next government in Delhi.
While speaking with ANI, Sharma said, "If we talk about RK Puram, our win is guaranteed, and we are 100 per cent forming a government in Delhi."

He added, "The results will be out in the next 3-4 hours. We took blessings of Kalka Mai and we have been taking the blessings of the public for the last one month and years."
The RK Puram assembly constituency is witnessing a triangular contest between BJP's Anil Kumar Sharma, AAP's Pramila Tokas and Vishesh Kumar of Congress.
According to the latest update from the Election Commission of India (ECI) at 9:15 am, Anil Sharma is currently leading with 1,075 votes, with AAP and Congress trailing behind.
Earlier on February 3, addressing a massive crowd in RK Puram, while highlighting the various promises of the BJP, PM Modi launched a scathing attack at the ruling Aam Aadmi Party, and said that the 'AAP-DA' (disaster) government has ruined Delhi over the past eleven years. He also assured the people that if the BJP forms government in Delhi, not a single slum will be demolished, nor will any welfare schemes be stopped.
He asserted that by no means should the AAP government be given a chance to form the government again, which he said would waste another five years in Delhi.
The AAP is aiming for a third consecutive term, while the BJP is striving to return to power after more than two decades in the National Capital.
The Congress, which was in power for 15 consecutive years in Delhi, has faced setbacks in the last two assembly elections and has failed to win any seats.
AAP has dominated the last two assembly elections in Delhi, but the BJP is looking to break the trend and reclaim power after more than two decades.
The BJP's campaign, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, targeted Kejriwal over alleged issues with the Yamuna water and corruption. Meanwhile, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra held rallies, accusing AAP of "damaging" the infrastructure of Delhi. (ANI)
