Palwal (Haryana) [India], April 18 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, while addressing the Vijay Sankalp rally in Gadpuri village of Prithla assembly constituency of Palwal district on Thursday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has worked day and night for the last ten years to empower farmers and women.
"In the last 10 years, BJP worked day and night to empower the farmers and women of the country and to bring smiles on the faces of the youth and the poor," said Saini.
The Haryana CM also lauded the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that he is taking the country forward by laying a network of roads across the state.
"PM Modi has worked to take the country forward. India has created its own identity in the world. He said that development work has been done equally in every assembly constituency of Haryana state without any discrimination. BJP has established new dimensions of development. The work of laying a network of roads was done in all the districts of the state," he said.
Faridabad Lok Sabha candidate Krishnapal Gurjar, Cabinet Minister Moolchand Sharma, Seema Trikha, Prithla assembly constituency MLA Nayanpal Rawat Singh, party officials and workers were present in the Vijay Sankalp rally.
Saini further said that panic has arisen within the Congress, after BJP came up with its manifesto and accused Congress of doing nothing to remove poverty. He said that the promises made by the BJP to the people have been fulfilled in the last ten years. The promises made by BJP to the public in its manifesto will also be fulfilled. The people of the country have full faith in Modi ji's guarantee.
"Congress ruled the country for years but did not work to remove poverty from the country. Due to the wrong policies of Congress, poverty has continuously increased in the country whereas the BJP government has worked for the welfare of the poor. The BJP government has done the work of bringing more than 25 crore people of the country out of the poverty line," said Saini.
He also said that BJP is a farmer friendly government and gave example of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) scheme launched by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers welfare in India in 2016 to provide affordable crop insurance to support agricultural production.
"Farmers were ignored by the Congress Party. After coming to power, the BJP government worked to strengthen the farmers by starting the PMFBY. BJP's double engine government did the work of transferring Rs 12.5 thousand crores to the accounts of farmers to address the issue of crop failure," he said.
Notably, in the state of Haryana, voting for all 10 seats will occur in a single phase, scheduled for the sixth phase on May 25. (ANI)
