Chandigarh (Haryana) [India], November 19 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday said that it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dream to make India developed till 2047 and that the state of Haryana will follow his leadership to make significant progress in a similar direction. He further thanked the people of the state for voting to form the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state for the third time and called it a golden chapter in Haryana's history.
"We will work non-stop to take PM Modi's vision forward. We will contribute to fulfilling PM Modi's dream of Viksit Bharat till 2047. Haryana will also follow the same direction and will make progress. I want to thank the people of the state for making us win for the third time. It is a golden chapter in Haryana's history because it has never happened before. This has happened because of PM Modi's leadership, his service to the poor and his patriotism. The BJP's 2024 sankalp patra is the vachan patra and we will work to fulfil every promise made," said CM Saini while addressing a press conference in Chandigarh.
Speaking on the issue of farmers, the Haryana CM said, "Farmers who hold their land on lease had an impending demand that they be given ownership of their lands. In this Vidhan Sabha session, we have passed a bill to give ownership rights to such farmers."
Earlier on Monday, the Haryana Assembly unanimously passed the Haryana Contractual Employees (Security of Service) Bill 2024. CM Saini stated that the bill would benefit 1,20,000 youth, thereby enhancing job security for contractual employees.
On August 8, the Haryana Cabinet, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Saini, approved the Haryana Contractual Employees (Security of Tenure) Ordinance, 2024.
The bill aims to improve facilities for contractual employees and ensure their job security until they reach the age of superannuation.
As per the bill, the state government has introduced provisions to safeguard the employment of contractual employees across various state departments, including Haryana Kaushal Rojgar Nigam, until their superannuation. Employees who have completed five years of service by August 15, 2024, will be eligible under this policy. (ANI)
