Sheopur (Madhya Pradesh) [India], November 10 (ANI): Exuding confidence over winning the by-elections in two assembly constituencies of Vijaypur and Budhni in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday said that the atmosphere is in favour of the BJP and that victory will be registered with a huge margin in both.
"The atmosphere is in favour of BJP in this by-election. BJP is going to win with a huge majority in Vijaypur and Budhni and there are immense possibilities for development in Vijaypur, we will create new records in terms of development. I appeal to you to make BJP win with a huge majority," said Chief Minister Yadav.
Earlier on Saturday, Mohan Yadav stated that the way the Bharatiya Janata Party is contesting in this election, both constituencies Vijaypur and Budhni-which is the workplace of former Chief Minister and current union Agriculture Minister Shivaraj Singh Chauhan and people are very attached, we are moving towards winning this election with a huge majority. It is a farmer-dominated area and everyone is engaged in working with enthusiasm here. On November 13, there will be heavy voting and the BJP will win with a huge majority.
The by-polls for the two Madhya Pradesh assembly seats, Vijaypur in Sheopur district and Budhni in Sehore district will take place on November 13 and the counting of votes is scheduled for November 23.
Notably, the Budhni assembly seat is the bastion of senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and it became vacant after being elected as a Member of Parliament (MP) from Vidisha constituency in the recently concluded general election 2024.
On the other hand, the Vijaypur assembly seat in Sheopur district fell vacant after Ramniwas Rawat, who was sitting MLA from the seat from the Congress party, quit the party and joined the BJP amid the Lok Sabha elections in April this year. Currently, Rawat is the Forest and Environment Minister in the cabinet of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. (ANI)
