Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], December 2 (ANI): Congress Leader Shobha Oza has taken a potshot at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saying the BJP will lay a trap of horse trading and offer of Rs 100 crores will be made instead of Rs 35 crores (referring to the Congress MLAs switch to BJP in 2020).
Oza made remark while speaking to ANI ahead of the counting of votes in the state which is scheduled to be held tomorrow (December 3)
"This time BJP will lay the trap of horse-trading. Now instead of Rs 35-35 crores, Rs 100-100 crores will be offered," the Congress leader said.
Meanwhile reacting to CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan's remark that all the projections made till now will fail, Congress leader Oza says that CM Chouhan is right, all the exit polls that have been managed will be left behind in tomorrow's results.
"CM Chouhan has given taxpayers crores of rupees as a bribe. He (Chouhan) has spent crores of rupees in managing the exit poll, all that will be left behind. Kamal Nath's government will be formed in the state tomorrow," She claimed.
The Congress leader further said that this time the public had completely reached the booth to overthrow the BJP government. The public has full faith in the Congress Party and former CM Kamal Nath. Tomorrow everyone will see that the Congress party is forming a government in the state. Every section of the state, right from women to youth, elderly persons, farmers and employees, has voted for the Congress Party.
Notably, when asked about the number of seats the BJP will win, Chouhan on Saturday said that all the predictions made till now would fail on the day of the results.
Besides, reacting to the exit poll results released on Thursday evening, the congress leader said that the exit polls have become a joke. Tomorrow they would see whom the public voted for.
"Exit polls have become a joke. Tomorrow we will see whom the public voted for. This has been done to put pressure on government officials through exit polls. Even in the previous elections, they (BJP) had put pressure on the government officials. The Collectors were hesitant even in giving the certificate of victory," She claimed.
Most exit-poll projections released on Thursday evening put the BJP in the lead, with the Congress seen to be coming up short and not cashing in on the 'anti-incumbency' as they had hoped to. Some exit polls, however, gave an advantage to the Congress party.

Meanwhile, speaking to ANI in Indore, the Congress leader Jitu Patwari on Saturday said, "Congress will form the government by winning more than 135 seats. Trust in Congress has increased in the entire country. This is the party of every Indian. Everyone in Madhya Pradesh is saying that Congress will form the government in the state."
Madhya Pradesh went to polls for its 230 seats on November 17 with 77.82 percent voter turnout.
Notably, the last state assembly polls in 2018 saw the Congress coming to power, with veteran leader Kamal Nath taking oath as the chief minister. Nonetheless, a political upheaval rocked the state in 2020 after then-Congressman Jyotiraditya Scindia, along with 22 loyalist MLAs, switched over to the saffron camp.
The Congress government fell after being reduced to a minority and the BJP formed the government, with Shivraj Singh Chouhan returning as chief minister. (ANI)
