BJP will emerge victorious in all five upcoming assembly elections: Amit Shah
New Delhi [India], Jan. 6 (ANI): Union Minister of Human and Resource Development (HRD) Prakash Javadekar on Saturday reiterated Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah's assertion of marking victory in the upcoming elections in all the five states. "In the meet, Amit Shah said that in the upcoming elections, BJP will end up winning in all the five states," said Javadekar while addressing a press conference here. Javadekar maintained that people voted for them in 2014 Lok Sabha elections in order to see a change in the condition of the nation, which was currently visible. "Party President (Amit Shah) said that the public did not let us win in majority only to rule nation, but to change the face of the nation, to bring welfare to the poor, which is now in front of everybody," he said. Applauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his 'historic' decision of demonetisation and surgical strike and putting forth a different image of India, Javadekar said the former was given a standing ovation by the parliamentary board. "The entire parliamentary board gave standing ovation to the Prime Minister for his historic decisions of demonetisation and surgical strike," he said. "Demonetising Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 notes, which constituted 86 percent of the total cash in the economy, was a historic step," he added. Hitting out at the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party for their 'Khoon ki dalali' and 'give us proof' comments respectively, Javadekar said, "'Khoon ki dalali' comment was a mean one and one minister even asked for proof. This does not happen anywhere in the world. Doubting the integrity of the armed forces was not accepted by the public." Drawing parallels with the condition that existed during the Congress regime, Javadekar said during the former's regime queues existed for everything while what people faced due to demonetisation was only temporary. "Congress made people stand in queues for milk, ration and everything, which ended after Atal Bihari ji took over," he said. "The Prime Minister had said that demonetisation would cause trouble for a temporary period. People did face problems, but they stood by the Prime Minister," he added. The BJP national executive meeting was held earlier today, where major decisions by the government were reviewed and Prime Minister Modi was felicitated. (ANI)
