BJP says Sharif talked like supreme commander of Hizbul Mujahideen
New Delhi [India], Sept. 22 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's speech at the United Nations on Wednesday was pathetic and he talked like the supreme commander of the terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen. BJP general secretary Ram Madhav said, "Nawaz Sharif at the UN yesterday was at his pathetic best. He talked not like the supreme commander of Pakistan, but he talked like the supreme commander of the Hizbul Mujahideen. He was openly campaigning for one of his terror commanders's named Burhan Wani. Burhan Wani was the south Kashmir area commander of the UN designated terror organization called Hizbul Mujahideen." "It is so pathetic to see the Prime Minister of Pakistan campaigning for the cause of UN designated terror organization. It clearly shows that there is no need for any further explanation and we can straightaway declare Pakistan as a terrorist state," he added. Madhav further said that at the diplomatic level, India has already given a befitting response to Pakistan and would respond to its Uri misadventure at multiple levels. Earlier, Pakistan's Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said, "Burhan Wani, the young leader murdered by Indian forces, has emerged as the symbol of the latest Kashmiri Intifada, a popular and peaceful freedom movement, led by Kashmiris." "The Security Council has called for the exercise of the right to self- determination by the people of Jammu and Kashmir through a free and fair plebiscite held under the UN auspices. The Security Council must honour its commitments by implementing its own decisions," he said. He further demanded an independent inquiry and a UN fact finding mission to investigate the situation in Kashmir. Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani (22) was killed by the Indian security forces in an encounter on July 8. He was prolific on social media and used the same to reach out to the youth while spreading the message of jihad. His killing has triggered massive protests in Kashmir. (ANI)
