Patna (Bihar) [India], October 9 (ANI): Following Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi's cryptic post on X amid the seat-sharing talks in the NDA, Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal on Wednesday said that "all is well" in the alliance.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting of the BJP Election Committee, Jaiswal said that the party discussed the seats it had lost in the last election.
He further stated that they have prepared a panel of three to four people for each assembly constituency, which will be sent to the central leadership, and the candidacy will be finalised after discussions with them.
Jaiswal said, "Today was the third meeting of the election committee. Today, we discussed the seats where we could not secure a victory last time... Additionally, we have prepared a panel of three to four people for each assembly constituency, which will be sent to the central leadership, and the candidacy will be finalised after discussions there... They will complete this process within two to three days. All is well. Everything is proceeding very smoothly, and everything will be completed on time."
Earlier in the day, Manjhi shared a cryptic post on X, seemingly expressing his disappointment with NDA seat-sharing talks. "Ho nyaay agar to aadha do, yadi usme bhi koi baadha ho, to de do kewal 15 gram, rakho apni dharti tamaam, HAM wahi khushi se khayenge, parijan pe asi na uthayenge," the post read.
However, Manji told ANI, "We have no dispute with any party. We're demanding enough seats to be recognised in the Bihar Assembly...We want our party to be recognised. This is our main demand..."
Asked about the meeting, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said that a detailed discussion took place on the forthcoming elections.
He said, "A meeting of the election committee was held, everyone was present, and there was a detailed discussion."
Ahead of the Bihar assembly elections, Union Minister and BJP in-charge of the election, Dharmendra Pradhan, and Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and co-in-charge Keshav Prasad Maurya, chaired a BJP Election Committee Meeting at the party office in Patna.
Maurya expressed his confidence and said, "Again, NDA will form the government in Bihar."
Denying the allegation that the Bihar Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) (HAM(S)) founder, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and the president of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) (LJP(RV)), Chirag Paswan, are unhappy with the seat sharing, Maurya said that everyone is happy.
"Once everything (on seat sharing) is finalised, you will be informed. It will be told after the meeting. No one is angry, everyone is happy, and everyone will remain happy," he added further.
The Election Commission has announced the schedule for the Bihar Assembly elections. The 243 Assembly seats will go to the polls in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with the counting of votes scheduled to take place on November 14.
The total number of electors in the final list stands at 7.42 crore, while there were 7.89 crore electors as of June 24 this year. An Election Commission press release stated that 65 lakh voters were removed from the draft list, and the number of electors in the draft list as of August 1, 2025, stood at 7.24 crore. (ANI)
