New Delhi [India], October 14 (ANI): Amid the upcoming state assembly election in Jharkhand, BJP Jharkhand core group will meet BJP National President JP Nadda and Union Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday in Delhi to discuss the names of candidates on 81 seats.
According to the sources, "BJP Jharkhand meeting to be held tomorrow evening at BJP headquarter. JP Nadda will chair the meeting in the presence of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah along with BJP Jharkhand core group members BJP state president Babulal Marandy, Sameer Oraon, Arjun Munda, Deepak Prakash and others. State incharge Laxmikant Bajpayee, Election incharge Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Hemanta Biswa Sarma."
He further said, "Today also core group meeting was held at Jharkhand. Names on the 81 seats were proposed in the meeting, now they will be discussed in Delhi with JP Nadda and Amit Shah".
The meeting was held in the state office of the party in Ranchi under the chairmanship of state president Babulal Marandi. Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Himanta Biswa Sarma were also present in the meeting.
After the meeting, BJP's Election Management Committee Convenor Sunil Singh, in a press conference said that BJP discussed about their strategic plan in the meeting.
"In today's meeting, we discussed about the strategy for the election. Which leader's rally should be held where, where to strengthen our booth and other strategic advances so we don't face any issues on the organisational level," Sunil Singh said.
On the Jharkhand government seeking permission from the Election Commission of India to implement 'JMM Samman Yojana' which aim to provide financial assistance of Rs 2,500 per month to women beneficiaries, BJP leader Sunil Singh said, "Women's empowerment is BJP's commitment. We have worked for that in other states. If someone (Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren) looks at our schemes and gives Rs 2500 or Rs 2600 it doesn't matter. The question is what have you done in the past 5 years that now you are working on this scheme? If any government care for women's empowerment then they work for it after coming to power, not in the end."
Jharkhand is expected to hold elections for its 81-member legislative assembly by December 2024, as the current government's tenure is set to end in January 2025. The Election Commission is yet to announce the election schedule. (ANI)
