BJP has fine-tuned the art of horse-trading: Congress
New Delhi [India], July 30 (ANI): After a number of MLAs quit Congress to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the grand old party has come out swinging at the saffron party accusing it of becoming an expert in poaching members from other parties. K.T.S. Tulsi, a senior advocate and Rajya Sabha member, said that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government has become masters in the art of horse-trading. "Be it Manipur, Karnataka or Bihar, the NDA has fine-tuned the art of horse-trading. They've also used the police to abduct politicians in Gujarat. This is worse than corruption. Horse-Trading is the root of corruption", he told ANI here. Meanwhile, Congress leader Manish Tewari accused the BJP of murdering democracy. The Congress had strenuously accused the BJP in the state of horse-trading ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections scheduled for August 8. Reacting to this the BJP laughed off the accusation and said the Congress has become a sinking ship and is not able to hold their own house together. The developments come after at least six Congress MLAs in Gujarat resigned from the party to join the BJP. (ANI)
