"BJP has divided into 3 groups, Maharaj BJP, Shivraj BJP and angry BJP," says Congress' Digvijaya Singh

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) [India], November 8 (ANI): Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Digvijaya Singh has taken a jibe at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saying the BJP in the state, has divided into three groups which include Maharaj BJP (Jyotiraditya Scindia), Shivraj BJP (CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan) and angry BJP (Rebels).
Singh made the remark while addressing the party workers at a Congress candidate's office in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior district on Wednesday.
"This election is among those who had betrayed the Congress (referring to 2020 the political upheaval) and the Congress. This election is between money power and manpower and between a traitor and an honest man. In 2018, I and former CM Kamal Nath got only five months and the organisation was also not as ready as it should have been but now the organisation is ready," Singh said.
Singh further said, "The BJP has divided into three groups, Maharaj BJP (Union Minister Scindia), Shivraj BJP (CM Chouhan) and angry BJP (rebellion party workers). Earlier, there was only one BJP. In 2023, we had five years to prepare the organisation and now we are fully prepared."
The Congress leader further attacked CM Chouhan saying that there was much resentment against the CM today.
"There is much resentment against CM Chouhan. much more that there was in 2018. The BJP too is divided today. No other organisation could have caused as much harm to the labourers as the Bharatiya Janata Party," he added.
Besides, former CM Singh also warned those Congressmen who were asking for tickets for the upcoming state assembly polls and were sitting at home, saying that the door of Digvijaya Singh would remain closed for them forever.
Meanwhile, the Congress leader also raised questions on the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and said, "They (BJP) used to make irregularities in the ballot paper, we have understood that but now they can make irregularities on the EVMs also. They (BJP) cannot reduce the votes of Congress but can increase the votes of BJP."
"Any machine in which a chip has been inserted will not obey the orders of the person running the machine, it will obey the orders of the one whose software has been inserted in it. Only the Election Commission has the information about it and no one else in the country has it and that in itself proves our doubts about EVMs," he added.
"Elections are not conducted through EVM in any country and even Pakistan and Bangladesh also abolished it. Now there is only one way to check it on election day. This bot cannot convert Congress to BJP or BJP to Congress but it can definitely increase votes," Singh added.
Madhya Pradesh is one of the five states set to undergo polls in one phase on November 17 and the counting of votes will take place on December 3. Voters will choose legislators from 230 Assembly constituencies. (ANI)
