BJP faced greater hardships than Congress, says PM Modi
New Delhi, Aug 18 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who today laid the foundation stone of new BJP HQ building in New Delhi, said this is a small step in the saffron party's commitment to 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas', adding that his party faced greater hardships than the Congress party during the British rule. Prime Minister Modi said the construction of new office will help the party to work better with improved facilities to achieve its objective. "We need to live by this objective of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'. We are committed to this resolution. Nation building is our priority, we need proper facilities to work and this office is a small step in that direction," he said. He further said the BJP's efforts and works were viewed with suspicion at every stage. "BJP is the only party which faced hardship at every moment, whose effort was viewed and analyzed with suspicion. I reckon that the Congress Party during the British rule would not have gone through such hardships as our ambitious workers did," he said. He said that the party's new office symbolises the toil and hard work done by the workers, adding their sacrifice continues to inspire the party to work for the nation building. The new state-of-the-art headquarters will be constructed at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg near ITO. It will have wi-fi, underground parking, conference halls, media facilities, eateries, studios, a library, reading room and other facilities. The new building is expected to be ready before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. (ANI)
