BJP expels IP Singh for praising Akhilesh Yadav
New Delhi [India], Mar 25 (ANI): BJP's Uttar Pradesh unit on Monday expelled its leader IP Singh from the party for six years after he hailed SP chief Akhilesh Yadav's decision to contest Lok Sabha election from Azamgarh.
New Delhi [India], Mar 25 (ANI): BJP's Uttar Pradesh unit on Monday expelled its leader IP Singh from the party for six years after he hailed SP chief Akhilesh Yadav's decision to contest Lok Sabha election from Azamgarh.
According to a party release, Singh was reportedly involved in anti-party activities, which led to his expulsion.
Earlier, Singh had tweeted after SP chief Akhilesh Yadav decided to contest Lok Sabha polls from Azamgarh: “The people are happy after the announcement of Akhilesh Yadav ji contesting from Azamgarh. Your arrival will develop Purvanchal. The politics of caste and religion will come to an end. I will be happy if my house becomes your election office.”
