Patna (Bihar) [India], Mar 27 (ANI): Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday claimed that the BJP is afraid of facing public as it did not fulfill the promises made in the last general elections.
“BJP leaders are scared of facing public because they have not delivered on the promises they made during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. The public is asking questions on Rs 15 lakh to every citizen and 2 crore jobs per year promised to them,” Yadav, the leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly, told reporters here.
Tejashwi also claimed that voters wanted to know what happened to the Modi government’s Smart Cities Mission, Namami Gange and Make in India initiatives.
The RJD is contesting 20 out of the 40 parliamentary constituencies in the state as per a seat-sharing pact announced by the grand alliance on March 22.
Bihar will go to polls in seven phases, from April 11 to May 19, and counting of votes will take place on May 23. (ANI)
