BJP candidates to win with record margin of votes: Tripura CM

"If we aim to fortify our nation, we need PM Modi. A festive atmosphere has been fostered in the state. I am optimistic about our prospects in this Lok Sabha election and the by-election, as the opposition lacks significant issues to contest. The INDI alliance is merely a ploy to deceive the people," Chief Minister Saha said.

Agartala (Tripura) [India], March 23 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Saturday said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates in Tripura will secure victory by a substantial margin, as the opposition lacks significant issues to contest in the elections.

He also criticized the opposition political parties for misleading the public by forming the INDIA bloc.

Chief Minister Saha on Saturday led a significant padayatra campaign in support of former Chief Minister Biplap Kumar Deb, the candidate for the West Tripura Parliamentary constituency, and Dipak Majumdar, the candidate for the Ramnagar Assembly Constituency by-election.

"Observing the unwavering faith of the people in the Bharatiya Janata Party and the massive response and support received during the padayatra, I am confident that BJP candidates of Lok Sabha and by-election will win by a record margin. From BJP Karyakartas to leaders, everyone is visiting people's homes seeking their support. We are appealing for support based on our work," Saha said.

Saha further criticized a segment of political parties that suddenly emerged during elections without working for the people.

"The BJP works for the people year-round. PM Modi prioritizes the welfare of the people and works towards strengthening our nation. I am confident that the BJP will emerge victorious as the public is expressing their desire for Narendra Modi to continue as Prime Minister," the Chief Minister said.
