Haldwani (Uttarakhand) [India], April 13 (ANI): Addressing a public rally in Uttarakhand's Haldwani, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on the Congress party saying that they created problems for the country.
"Once I asked CM Pushkar Singh Dhami to come and I told him that we should solve all the pending problems of UP and Uttarakhand... The BJP believes in solutions to problems," said CM Yogi.
"Both of us solved all the problems. The name of the problem was Congress, which created problems for the country all their lives. Whether it was the partition, terrorism, naxalism, casteism, corruption, or separatism, all of these problems were given by the Congress," he lashed out.
Hailing the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said, "The Congress gave so many problems, that to solve them, we got a PM like Narendra Modi and in the last 10 years, all of us saw a transformed India..."
Meanwhile, addressing the same event Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that we have implemented Anti-Cheating Law. Many such things have been done. We have also imposed an Anti-Riot Law in Uttarakhand.
"There should be no hooliganism in Uttarakhand," he highlighted.
He stated that Uttarakhand is the land of gods where people live peacefully. So, this law has been brought.
"Now, if someone causes riots, the compensation for the damage caused by him will be recovered from him," he assured.
He emphasised that the Uttarakhand government has taken many historic decisions to protect the original form and culture of the state and to speed up the development of the state. Today, no miscreant or rioter dares to disturb the peace and order of the state.
Lashing out at the Congress party, he said, "Due to the cheap vote bank politics, the Congress party also opposes the decisions that are in the national interest."
"Seeing the unprecedented support I am getting from the people of Devbhoomi, I am confident that the respected public is going to make the lotus bloom on all five seats of the state in this election by putting their stamp of trust on the public welfare policies of the double engine government," he added.
Notably, CM Dhami along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath appealed to make BJP candidate from Haldwani Ajay Bhatt victorious in the upcoming general elections.
It is noteworthy that the 2024 Indian general election in Uttarakhand will be held on April 19 during the first phase to elect the 5 members of the upcoming 18th Lok Sabha. The result of the election will be announced on June 4.
The general election for 543 Lok Sabha seats will be held in seven phases starting April 19, with counting to be held on June 4. (ANI)
