Patna (Bihar) [India], Feb 6 (ANI): State president of Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), Virishan Patel, and national spokesperson Danish Rizwan resigned from the party on Wednesday.
Speaking to ANI after resigning from the party, which is a part of the grand alliance or mahagathbandhan in Bihar, Patel said, "It is sad that I am the founder member of the party and now I am resigning. Recently, Mamata Banerjee was on an agitation against the Indian government and all allies of Mahagathbandhan supported that agitation but we opposed it. I feel that we are not following the decorum of being an alliance partner. Therefore I decided to resign from the party."
The development comes months ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections which are scheduled to take place in April-May this year.
HAM was launched by the former chief minister of Bihar Jitan Ram Manjhi after he left the Janata Dal along with some other leaders.
In February last year, Manjhi joined the Rashtriya Janata Dal-led grand alliance after leaving the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). (ANI)

“Govt must clarify LPG reserves, supply timelines to public

"The government should clarify - what is the amount of reserves in our country presently, how much is left, how much can be consumed over how many days, and by when are they expecting that the LPG supply would be normalised. I believe the government is having talks; the people of this nation also need to be told about the current situation. If there is a crisis of energy, then by when the government plans to resolve it should also be clarified to the people, especially to the common man," he said.

"Bengal people are watching Mamata's communal mindset": Saraogi

"The Election Commission is a constitutional body. Conducting the SIR process is their right. What do these people want? Do they want to win by using the fake votes of Bangladeshis, Rohingyas, infiltrators, the deceased, and those with double entries? This cannot happen. The people of Bengal have the right to the resources of Bengal, not the infiltrators and Bangladeshis," he said.
