Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary accuses Lalu Yadav of "destroying" Bihar

Retorting back to Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav's claims of Bihar being number one in unemployment, poverty, inflation, corruption, and crime, Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary said on Sunday that it's RJD supremo Lalu Yadav who "destroyed" Bihar.

Patna (Bihar) [India], August 25 (ANI): In response to Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav's claims that Bihar ranks first in unemployment, poverty, inflation, corruption, and crime, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said on Sunday that it was RJD supremo Lalu Yadav who "destroyed" Bihar.
Speaking to reporters, Choudhary stated, "It was Lalu Prasad Yadav who destroyed Bihar, and Nitish Kumar, along with the BJP, improved the situation in the state. They [the RJD] are looters and corrupt people. The bad reputation that Bihar acquired in the past is also due to Lalu Yadav."
A day earlier, Tejashwi Yadav had criticised the Bihar government, asserting that despite having a "double-engine government" (NDA-led government at both the centre and state), Bihar leads in unemployment, poverty, inflation, corruption, and crime.
Meanwhile, Jan Suraaj chief Prashant Kishor, a staunch critic of Lalu Yadav and his son Tejashwi, advised Yadav to refrain from commenting on development issues, as he allegedly does not even know what GDP is.
"Comments can be made if Tejashwi Yadav speaks on caste, extortion, liquor mafia, or crime, but if Tejashwi Yadav discusses the development model, it is laughable. They have been in power for the last 15 years, and he does not know what GDP and GDP growth are, yet he talks about Bihar's development story."
"As far as crime is concerned, when Tejashwi Yadav was Deputy CM six months ago, Bihar was like Switzerland to him. Now, after six months, Bihar has become a gutter. If Nitish Kumar joins the Mahagathbandhan today, Bihar will once again start looking great to him." (ANI)
