Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is "not political", will focus on issues of common man: KC Venugopal

He said the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will spend a significant amount of time traversing the length and breadth of Assam

Guwahati (Assam) [India], January 9 (ANI): Congress general secretary KC Venugopal on Tuesday said that 'Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra' will focus on the issues of the common man and it is "not political".
Venugopal, who interacted with the media here, said the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will spend a significant amount of time traversing the length and breadth of Assam and the party's Assam unit is ready to make it a grand success.
The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is scheduled to start from Imphal on January 14 and cover a distance of 6,713 kilometer, straddling 100 Lok Sabha constituencies and 337 assembly segments and covering 110 districts.
"Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra will be launched by Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge from Imphal, Manipur, on January 14. The yatra is going to be held from Manipur to Mumbai. All Congress leaders in Assam have made elaborate arrangements for its successful implementation. In this yatra, we are focusing on the issues of the common man. This is not a political yatra, it is clearly for the common people. It's a journey to highlight issues," Venugopal said.
The march will culminate in Mumbai on March 20 or 21.
Venugopal earlier held a held a review meeting in Kohima for preparations for Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.
"To assess preparations for the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, held a review meeting in Kohima with Nagaland PCC President Sh. S. Jamir ji, AICC in-charge Sh. Girish Chodankar ji, senior leaders and heads of frontal organisations. Nagaland is all set to host the Sh. @RahulGandhiji led #BharatJodoNyayYatra!" he said on X.
