Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], March 10 (ANI): BJP candidate from Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency Madhavi Latha on Sunday said that AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has no idea about the concept of peace adding that he has done nothing except spreading hatred in the society.
The remarks came after Asaduddin Owaisi that "some forces want to spread hatred in the country and these forces should be stopped".
Speaking to ANI, Madhavi Latha said, "He can change any number of statements. Recently he said 'Kisi ke baap ka hai Ayodhya', his younger brother said 'give us 15 minutes...'. Stop this drama. We know what you are. Till date other than hate speech what have you spread in Muslims? Why were you against the triple talaq, UCC, 33 per cent women reservation."
"After being against all these things you want to tell that you are a man who is propagating peace, he is shaken to the extent that he has changed his language. Owaisi never knew what peace is..." she added.
Madhavi Latha is set to face Asaduddin Owaisi, who is a four-time Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad constituency.
Earlier, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy praised AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi during the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Old City Metro Rail Project, in the Hyderabad district on Friday stating that the Hyderabad Lok Sabha MP speaks up in Parliament for all Indians.
"Our government is working on a master plan to develop every corner of Hyderabad. This master plan, called Vibrant Telangana 2050, aims to create a complete plan for the next 25 years. For this purpose only, I visited London to see the Thames River. I brought Akbaruddin Owaisi with me as he has been consistently winning from here. Despite my efforts to defeat him, I couldn't succeed. I chose to go to London with him because he has more knowledge than me. Just like that Asaduddin Owaisi, in the Lok Sabha raises his voice not just for the minority but for all 140 crore Indians, emphasizing that he represents everyone in parliament, not just a specific community," Revanth Reddy said.
He further said that the Telangana government will jointly work with AIMIM for the development of Hyderabad.
"Our responsibility is to undertake all the necessary developments in Hyderabad, especially the 55km Musi River development. We are committed to showcasing the most beautiful Musi River development globally. Collaborating with AIMI, we will work towards the holistic development of Hyderabad," Revanth Reddy said. (ANI)
