Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], November 19 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav conducted roadshows and addressed public gatherings in four assembly constituencies--Kalina, Dharavi, Sion Koliwada, and Ghatkopar--in Mumbai, campaigning for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-Mahayuti candidates on the final day of electioneering for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly polls, scheduled for Monday.
CM Yadav noted widespread support for the BJP and Mahayuti during his visits, reiterating Prime Minister Narendra Modi's message: "Ek rahenge toh safe rahenge" (If we stay united, we stay safe). He emphasised the importance of unity for the collective benefit of society.
"I am happy to see an atmosphere of support for the BJP and MahaYuti wherever I have campaigned. This support ensures we will form the government in Maharashtra again. Under PM Modi's leadership, India's global stature has grown, making the formation of a MahaYuti government in Maharashtra equally significant," CM Yadav told ANI.
He further said, "The support for BJP across the state is evident, and its results will soon be visible. As PM Modi has stated, 'Ek rahenge toh safe rahenge,' unity will yield collective benefits."
Addressing public gatherings, CM Yadav highlighted the BJP's growth under PM Modi's leadership, stating that the party's influence extends from North to South and East to West. "Today, India is a global role model because PM Modi fulfils his commitments. The slogan 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas, Sabka Vishwas' is not just rhetoric but a reality implemented by the BJP and PM Modi," he said.
He also spoke about the implementation of Madhya Pradesh's Ladli Behna Yojana in Maharashtra. "In Madhya Pradesh, we provide Rs1,250 per month to women under the scheme. In Maharashtra, it has started at Rs1,500 per month, which will eventually increase to Rs2,100. This scheme reflects the spirit of our Sanatan Dharma, honouring Matrishakti (mother power)," he added.
CM Yadav highlighted the achievements of the MahaYuti government over the past two and a half years, noting the BJP's dominance across India. "The BJP, as the world's largest political party, is flourishing under PM Modi's leadership--from Uttar Pradesh to Gujarat and Rajasthan to Odisha. Maharashtra will not be left behind; the lotus will bloom here as well in the upcoming elections," he asserted.
The elections for the 288-member Maharashtra assembly will be held in a single phase on November 20, with vote counting scheduled for November 23.
In the 2019 Maharashtra assembly elections, the BJP secured 105 seats, Shiv Sena won 56, and Congress 44. In 2014, the BJP won 122 seats, Shiv Sena 63, and Congress 42. (ANI)
