Arvind Kejriwal accuses BJP workers of "hooliganism" after Atishi's complaint against Ramesh Bidhuri's nephew

"With the protection and support of the police, BJP people are openly committing hooliganism and threatening the people of Delhi. All this is happening on the orders of Amit Shah. BJP lost badly in 2015 and 2020. This time too BJP is losing badly. So now Amit Shah is getting hooliganism done against the people of Delhi," read a post by Kejriwal's account.

New Delhi [India], January 21 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accused Bharatiya Janata Party of "doing hooliganism and threatening the people of Delhi," on Tuesday after Delhi CM Atishi filed a complaint wrote to the election officer complaining against Ramesh Bidhuri's nephew and other BJP workers for allegedly threating AAP workers.
Kejriwal also alleged that the threats were given on "orders of Amit Shah."

The AAP leader said that the people of Delhi will reject hooliganism in the upcoming Delhi assembly polls.
"I want to tell Amit Shah ji that Delhi is a city of civilized and decent people. Delhiites do not like such hooliganism. Using the police to threaten people and to commit hooliganism against them is very wrong," his post read.
The post added, "Your job is to fix the law and order situation in Delhi. If you yourself get hooliganism done, then who will take care of Delhi? When the boatman sinks the boat, who will save him?"
Earlier today, Delhi CM and AAP candidate from Kalkaji constituency accused her rival candidate Ramesh Bidhuri's nephew and other BJP workers of threatening the AAP workers in the area.
Atishi alleged that AAP volunteers including Rekha Bassi, Sanjay Gupta, Mani Manta, Aradhana, Sunita Pandey, Sher Singh, Hari Shankar Gupta and others were verbally and physically threatened by some BJP workers.
"The BJP members including Kunal Bhardwaj, Manish, Rishabh Bhiduri (nephew of the BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri) threatened Sanjay Gupta and others, hurled abuses, grabbed him by the collar and threatened with physical harm," she said.
Atishi also alleged that these BJP workers have been openly threatening AAP volunteers without any fear.
"It is alarming that if these workers are getting so aggressive with AAP workers, then one can imagine the kind of influence they would have on the voters living in these areas," she added.
The Delhi Assembly elections are going to be held in a single phase on February 5, with counting to be done on February 8. (ANI)
