Army Chief exhorts soldiers to remain prepared to counter enemy

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], July 28 (ANI): Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Bipin Rawat exhorted army personnel to remain prepared to counter the nefarious designs of the enemy. General Rawat visited forward posts along the Line of Control (LoC), where he was briefed in detail on the actions being undertaken to ensure a robust counter infiltration grid. He interacted with the soldiers deployed on the forward posts and exhorted the troops to continue to remain vigilant and 'ever ready'. General Bipin Rawat, who was accompanied by the Northern Army Commander Lt Gen D Anbu, also visited the White Knight Corps to review the operation preparedness and the prevailing security situation. The COAS visited Rajouri and Akhnoor Sectors wherein he was briefed by GOC 16 Corps, Lt Gen A K Sharma on the operational readiness by the GOC Ace of Spades division and GOC Crossed Swords division. Lt. Sharma also briefed about the preparedness of the White Knight Corps in dealing with the emerging and dynamically changing security situation and the measures taken to thwart any misadventure by the inimical forces.
