Andhra HC asks political parties to refrain from talking about YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case in public meetings

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], Mar 29 (ANI): The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday asked leaders of ruling and opposition parties here to refrain from talking about the murder case of former state minister YS Vivekananda Reddy.

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], Mar 29 (ANI): The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday asked leaders of ruling and opposition parties here to refrain from talking about the murder case of former state minister YS Vivekananda Reddy.
A petition was filed before the high court to transfer the case to the CBI. After hearing the arguments, the court adjourned the matter till April 15.
The court stated that political leaders should not speak about the case either before media or in public meetings. The court further ordered the leaders to submit a letter of admission in this regard.
The court permitted that the investigation of Special Investigation Team (SIT) can be continued. However, it ordered the SIT officials not to hold press meet and reveal anything to media.
Vivekananda was found dead at his home on March 15 in Pulivendula. Initially, it was said that he succumbed to a cardiac arrest. However, the police, based on the investigation, stated that it was a murder. (ANI)
