An electrifying fantasy adventure novel 'Savage Blue' set to hit the stands
New Delhi [India], Sept.21 (ANI-Newsvoir): Savage Blue by Vikram Balagopal, an award winning author of graphic novel Simian, explores the issues of environment and feminism in an intriguing way. Vikram Balagopal, an award winning author, illustrator, a cartoonist, a film-maker and a published poet is pleased to announce the release of his second book "Savage Blue', a novel published by HarperCollins Publishers India. Savage Blue will be launched on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Elma's Bakery in Good Earth, Select Citywalk Saket, starting 6:00pm onwards. Savage Blue is a fantasy adventure and romance that takes readers on a thrilling ride through strange worlds. Set in contemporary India and exploring issues of the environment and feminism in bold new ways, it is the story of two people connected inexplicably between realms and the malevolent power that lies at heart of it all. Vikram's debut book was the graphic novel 'Simian' in 2014 which won an award for 'Best Graphic Novel of the year 'at Comic Con India Awards 2015. 'Savage Blue' is his first novel. "I wanted to write a fantasy that takes place in the present and not in distant past or future. Savage Blue is an escapist fantasy adventure, but I still wanted to address many of the issues in our world. The relationship between the two main characters Akila and Shyam, keeping that real was what mattered the most to me. There is love and sex but it is far from a fairytale romance", said Vikram Balagopal. Mr. V.K. Karthika, Chief Publisher at HarperCollins Publishers India said, "Savage Blue is an unusual novel with a remarkable premise. It evokes parallel universe and multiple realities - geographical, material and emotional - that throw the faultiness of our own world into sharp relief. The novel is fantastic in the true sense of the word." Savage Blue is a 416 pager and is priced at INR 399 and will be available at all major bookstores by end of September, 2016. You can also pre order your copy from Amazon. The eBook is available on Amazon and will be available on Google Play by September 25, 2016.
