Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], December 29 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Kolkata on Monday as part of a three-day visit aimed at strengthening the Bharatiya Janata Party's organisational base in West Bengal ahead of the crucial Assembly elections scheduled for next year.
Shah was received at the airport by West Bengal BJP president Samik Bhattacharya, Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly Suvendu Adhikari, Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar and several senior party leaders and workers.
Supporters gathered to welcome the Union Home Minister as he began his visit to the state capital.
Upon his arrival at the BJP office in Kolkata, Shah received a warm welcome and will also review strategies and preparations for the upcoming Assembly polls.
According to a BJP source, the meetings will focus on reviewing the party's preparedness and strategy for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections. The Home Minister is expected to assess organisational strength, booth-level planning, and coordination among party leaders ahead of the crucial polls.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh praised Union Home Minister Amit Shah's leadership, saying that under his guidance, the party has strengthened its presence in West Bengal.
"Under his leadership, the party expanded here. People like us, the workers, are now working to grow the party.
