New Delhi [India], July 10 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has spoken with Jammu and Kashmir Governor N.N. Vohra and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and has assured full assistance to help the injured. The Home Minister has also spoken with the Director General of the J-K Police. Meanwhile, the latest update on attack says that as many as six people have been killed after a bus of Amarnath Pilgrims at Batingoo, Jammu and Kashmir was attacked. As per Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Control Room, 14 pilgrims are reported to be injured. A detailed report is awaited, K.S. Dhatwalia , DG PIB, says. Most of the pilgrims belong to Gujarat. A group of terrorists had earlier opened fire at the bus carrying the pilgrims in the Anantnag district. The incident occurred at 8.20 p.m. today when the bus, carrying 17 pilgrims from Baltal to Mir Bazar, became victim to the terrorist attack. Reportedly, the bus was neither a part of a convoy nor a registered with shrine board. The 90th and 40th battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has been rushed to the spot. Internet services in Kashmir have been blocked and the security has been tightened in view of the situation in the valley. National Conference leader Omar Abdullah took to Twitter to condemn the incident. "The attack cannot be condemned strongly enough," Omar wrote on Twitter. "Very sad news. The attack cannot be condemned strongly enough. My sympathies to the families & prayers for the injured." "The one thing we had all feared this year during the yatra. In spite of recent successes against militants & unprecedented force presence," he added. (ANI)
