Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Apr 14 (ANI): The Allahabad High Court has stayed the appointments of assistant professors, associate professor and professor in Banaras Hindu University (BHU).

Allahabad HC cancels professors' appointment in BHU
Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Apr 14 (ANI): The Allahabad High Court has stayed the appointments of assistant professors, associate professor and professor in Banaras Hindu University (BHU). The order was passed by a two judge-bench comprising justice Vikram Nath and Justice DS Tripathi. The court has asked the university to file its counter in the matter. The court has directed the university authorities to make appointments on non teaching posts in pursuance of its advertisement for the posts. In the petition filed by Dr. Anand Del Rai and three other it was alleged that in appointments the reservation on Roster basis has not been followed. It was said that reservation was required to be applied as per faculty basis but same has been applied as whole vacancies, which is illegal the petitioners have alleged. The petitioners have prayed to the court to quash the appointments in pursuance of the advertisement in the question. The court has asked the university to file its counter in the matter. (ANI)
