All party delegation demands talks with all stakeholders in J-K to restore normalcy: Kharge

New Delhi [India], Sept. 3 (ANI): Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday said the all-party delegation meet prior to their visit to Jammu and Kashmir have urged the Centre to initiate dialogues with all stakeholders to restore normalcy in the state.

New Delhi [India], Sept. 3 (ANI): Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday said the all-party delegation meet prior to their visit to Jammu and Kashmir have urged the Centre to initiate dialogues with all stakeholders to restore normalcy in the state. Kharge told ANI that during the meeting, leaders of different parties put forth their views to restore normalcy. "All parties have demanded that there must be a dialogue with all the stakeholders. And secondly, it was decided that the delegation would hold parleys with all (political parties and other delegations in Srinagar) to improve the situation in Kashmir," he said. "We also raised the issue of pellet guns and then in reply they (Centre) said that they would come up with an alternative after they receive the report," he added. Demanding peace in the Kashmir Valley, Congress leader said, "We want an environment of fraternity and peace prevails in the region. So, we have told the government that we would support them on the initiatives to restore normalcy in the region." Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said that the Centre would take a final decision with regard to Kashmir unrest on the basis of feedback and suggestions given by the all party-delegation scheduled to visit the valley on Sunday. Singh said, "We had a meeting regarding the all-party delegation, which will visit Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow. The leaders from all parties gave in their suggestions. This delegation will meet different delegations in Kashmir." "After coming back, our all-party delegation will convene a meeting and give suggestions on the basis of which the Centre will decide its future course of action," he added. Singh today chaired a meeting of about 30 Members of Parliament, who will visit Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow.(ANI)
