Kamareddy (Telangana) [India], November 26 (ANI): Congress MP Rahul Gandhi fired fresh salvos at the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in Telangana, stating that all "money-making" ministries are in the hands of one family.
"All money-making ministries are in the hands of one family. Wherever there is money, you will surely find one of the family members of KCR. During the KCR's rule in the state, 8,000 farmers have died by suicide," Gandhi said at a public meeting in Telangana's Kamareddy.
Attacking the KCR government over the TSPSC paper leak issue, he added, "Yesterday evening, I met the youth of Telangana in Hyderabad's Ashok Nagar. Having spent lakhs of rupees, they were preparing for examinations but the papers got leaked. If you're a friend of KCR, you can easily crack any exam. But if you're among the youth of the state, you cannot do so without spending money."
"Your Chief Minister talks about computerization. He talked about computerising the land records on the Dharni portal. But what he did was snatch the lands of 20 lakh people in the state and hand them over to their industrialist friends. Now he asks what Congress has done so far. Let me tell you, the roads that you walk on were built by Congress. The universities where you graduated were built by Congress. Even Hyderabad, from where you commit theft worth crores, was constructed by Congress," Rahul Gandhi stated.
Gandhi is on a visit to the state ahead of the assembly polls.
The grand old party has fielded its state chief, A. Revanath Reddy, against CM KCR from the BRS party from the Kamaredy constituency.
Meanwhile, the state is going to the polls on November 30 and the counting of votes will take place on December 3.
Telangana is set to witness a triangular contest among the ruling TRS, BJP and Congress. (ANI)
