Karimganj (Assam) [India], November 25 (ANI): All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) Chief Badruddin Ajmal on Saturday said that his party has given away 11 seats to the Congress to fight against the Bharatiya Janata Party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
He also said that his party will contest three seats in Assam in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
"We will contest in 3 out of 14 Lok Sabha seats in Assam. We will contest in Dhubri, Nagaon and Karimganj seats and we have given away other 11 seats to the Congress to fight against the BJP. AIUDF will support INDIA bloc," Badruddin Ajmal said.
However, he slammed both Congress and BJP for fooling and deceiving the people for 75 years.
"In politics, these two parties have ruled for 75 years by fooling people and deceiving them and their livelihood is going to be disrupted. That is why both parties want to send Ajmal out of Assam. If Ajmal runs a school or hospital then it also looks communal. If I donate money to any Hindu people or cancer patients, then it also looks communal. If I donate to the temple or mosque then they (Congress and BJP) also see evil in it. But as long as God keeps us, we will last," Badruddin Ajmal told ANI.
Replying to a question about is he wanted to become the Chief Minister of Assam, Badruddin Ajmal said that he didn't dream of becoming the Chief Minister of Assam.
"But I don't know what God's plan is. I don't have the courage to dream of becoming CM," Ajmal said.
On the other hand, talking about the five states' assembly polls, the AIUDF Chief hopes that, the Opposition political party New Block INDIA will win in four states.
"I also want that, INDIA should win and BJP losses," Ajmal said.
Hitting out at the Centre, Badruddin Ajmal alleged that, the BJP-led government had closed the minority scholarship schemes and the Modi government had made false promises for the development of minorities in the country.
On the other hand, the AIUDF Chief also slammed the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led Assam government for its action of using bulldozers against some Madrasas and conducting eviction drives.
"This is totally illegal and Himanta Biswa Sarma is trying to show BJPgiri, RSSgiri and Dadagiri. Very soon, Dilliwale and Assamwale will go and our Madrasas will open again and the education of Madrasa will start again," Badruddin Ajmal said.
The AIUDF Chief on Saturday attended a mega party workers meeting held in Karimganj. (ANI)
