Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], October 27 (ANI): Asserting that All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is the "A-team" for Congress and BRS, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy alleged that Asaduddin Owaisi writes and gives what KCR and Rahul Gandhi should say in front of the people.
"AIMIM is the A-team for Congress and BRS. Asaduddin Owaisi controls all of them. Asaduddin Owaisi writes and gives what KCR and Rahul Gandhi should say. BRS is with the Majlis (AIMIM) party. Till we have life, we will never go together with AIMIM. We will never join BRS, which is together with AIMIM," Kishan Reddy said on Friday.
He further said that BRS and Congress are opportunists.
"Recently, KTR stated that if Congress wins in Delhi, they (the BRS) will play a key role in the government. Today, they are competing to criticise the BJP party. BJP is not anyone's B-team; we are the Telangana people's team," he added.
He said, "We achieved Telangana state through many struggles and movements. 1200 Telangana children sacrificed themselves for the state. However, the state has fallen into the hands of corrupt people and the mafia today. Today, we see how people are acting against the family rule, corruption and dictatorial rule of KCR."
He added, "Some people are deliberately spreading false agenda against BJP on social media. However, despite all this, BJP will come to power in the upcoming Assembly elections by winning majority seats."
He further said, "Across the country, BJP is fighting against family rule and corrupt politics. We will not compromise in this. Rahul Gandhi recently came and said that BRS and BJP are one. Rahul Gandhi has no knowledge of politics. He does not have memory power. He just spoke the script he was given. Rahul Gandhi is a politically ignorant who does not know about Telangana, the Telangana movement, Telangana sentiment, Telangana people's aspirations, Telangana's history, Nizams or Razakars. He is giving scripted speeches against the BJP today. Congress party is B-team to BRS. KCR was born and worked in the Congress party. Rahul Gandhi might not know this. In 2004, KCR worked as a minister in the Congress government by making an alliance. Rahul might not know this because he was running a remote-controlled government by putting Manmohan Singh in the front. How can Rahul Gandhi forget this?
"After 2014 and 2018 elections, many Congress MLAs were sold off to BRS. Congress party is a party that will be sold off and BRS party is a party that will buy. Rahul Gandhi, the MLAs who won on your party symbol who have been sold, whom you sold to BRS and are continuing as ministers," he added.
Earlier today, Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that the next Chief Minister of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state will be from a backward caste if the party is voted to power.
"Today I want to tell the people of Telangana, give your blessings to BJP and form the BJP government. BJP will give Telangana a Chief Minister from the backward class," Amit Shah said addressing Jana Garjana Sabha in Suryapet.
With Assembly elections in Telangana on sight, the BJP seems to be working strategically to unseat the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi led by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in the state.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) on October 9 announced that the Telangana Assembly polls are scheduled to be held on November 30. The counting of votes will be done on December 3.
Telangana is set to witness a triangular contest between the BJP, the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi, and the Congress in the upcoming assembly election.
In the previous Assembly election held in 2018, BRS managed to win 88 seats out of 119 and had a dominant vote share of 47.4 per cent. Congress came in a distant second with 19 seats. Its vote share was 28.7 per cent. (ANI)
